“If you build it they will come” isn’t that how the saying goes? Well lucky for us and the 42 incredible junk vendors, because that is exactly what happened in Fargo on May 12. The Eco Chic crew hosted Fargo’s first Junk Market. The event was sponsored byMaria Roesch of Coldwell Realty and held in the Eco Chic Boutique parking lot.
We blew the doors off of the parking lot! Well you know what I mean.
Here is the line of people waiting for the gates to open at 9am. We had big and little people (my nephews) handing out coffee, doughnuts and water to those who waited so patiently.
All the vendors and artisans were local to the Fargo Moorhead area. And let me tell you we have some talented people in this neck of the woods.
Here is a sampling of what the day looked like.
I can’t write this post without mentioning my superhero of the day. My husband Tate (who you all know LOVES to fish) he gave up the Minnesota fishing opener day to be here helping me. Yeah, he scored some BIG points. He was happy (well he always is) and played host to our vendors and guests all while single-handedly carrying any big thing I asked him too. “Thanks Tate, you sure are the rum to my coke”…the funny thing is he will never read this anyway, but I needed to tell him that. Thank you for letting me do that, now where was I?
Oh yeah, the VENDORS! My gosh, were they incredible! They came super early and setup, they were on their feet all day, they put up with our logistical glitches and smiled through the entire process!
We were asked many times if we are going to do another one again soon…and if you can keep a secret the answer is yes. We are working out details for a fall event. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for more details.

I missed the sale and sure am hoping to make the one in the fall. My hope is that it isn’t the third week in August as the big Oronoco Junk sale is happening then.

How fun for all of you. A bit of a drive from SC. But love to see all the pix. So happy it was a success.
Unfortunately we did not make it either and will try to make the fall sale…try not to have it the same weekend as Junk Bonanza or JunkFest both in September!
