Wow, I just returned from a whirlwind weekend in the Twin Cities! It feels great to be home again, but I just couldn’t wait to share a little bit of my favorite part of the weekend: Junk Bonanza at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, MN!
I took my mom with me early Thursday morning to the event. We had Early Bird Tickets so we were able to get in before it was totally packed. (And we got some really cute tote bags!) It was junk overload!
I loved seeing all of the fun vintage, rusty and repurposed items so beautifully displayed. So much eye candy!
I wish I would have brought a truck! And a trailer. A BIG trailer.
While checking out the booths, I ran into some junking friends from Iowa, Missouri and North Dakota. So much fun to catch up!
We were at Junk Bonanza for just under 3 hours, but probably could have spent all day looking through all the treasures! Wish I could have gone back for a second day to see what else I might discover.
Some of my friends think I’m a little bit crazy for being so in love with granny squares… but it looks like I’m not the only one!

And the best news is that we don’t have to wait until Fall for the next Junk Bonanza. There will be a Spring Junk Bonanza April 18-20, 2013! Hope to see you there!

Laura, thanks for sharing your junk bonanza day with me! I LOVED looking at so many fun things that creative people made out of junk. It was awesome and inspiring!
what do you know about the Junk Market next Sat. west of Home Depot??? are you part of that?
Gen, yes we will be at the Junk Market at Eco Chic in West Fargo this Saturday! It is going to be a great event! https://www.facebook.com/Junkmarketfargo
OMG – I went on Thursday also (didn’t make it to the early bird) but I was in Junk Heaven! LOVED seeing all the big and little objects, and different ideas. Got to meet Ki, and take some fun things home. Another trip this spring is definite! =}
Hey that’s my Cuckoo Clock! ( http://www.etsy/shops/circa810 ) Junk Bonanza was an incredible show with great dealers and incredible buyers! If you have not been to it make sure you get there in the spring, it will blow your mind!
