Yesterday was such a beautiful day and just perfect for checking out the pumpkin patch on our farm. My grandson, Lincoln was spending some time with me, so he went out and played a bit too.

Fall is here in central Iowa and with the summer heat we’ve experienced, everything is ready way in advance. Much of the country is experiencing the same thing. Since fall is my favorite time of the year, I welcome the cooler temps, festivities and colors of fall.
Burlap & Roses, as well as most other shops, are all decked out in their fall attire. The scents of fall…candles, potpourri, and freshners drum up images of baking, caramel apples, hayrides and ‘smores. Families and friends gather at ball games, fall festivals and bonfires. I LOVE fall. Do you?
What is your favorite part of this season? Is it the weather, the colors, the FASHIONS? I really like the comfy clothes of fall, too. The friendly banter as teams go head to head on the football field. We are a nation that loves its football, aren’t we.
As we move on into this season…we turn our thoughts to the harvest, the bounty that we have. Although the times are difficult for many, I look at what I do have and am grateful. May this season be one of happiness, fun and full of what you hold dear. Happiest of Falls to you!
